Production Schedule

To be able to keep on time with the filming for our project, we have made a production schedule. This is to help us have an idea of how much time we have allocated ourselves to do each step of the filming within that day. When referring to the production schedule it will give me a prompt to what shots will be taken place and if anything goes wrong, we can also refer back to our storyboard for guidance.

The dates we plan to film on are:

Creating a storyboard helps to put the shots into perspective and see what the film will look like once its shot. It also will help when filming to remind us of what shots we need

Institutions, Marketing & Campaign Strategy

Task 1: From researching into the different marketing methods which are used by bands/artists today, I added some of my own ideas in the pink boxes and analysed all of the methods into three different categories. Which ones were most desirable, most expensive or most lucrative, some of the methods fell into more than one of these categories. For example, I decided Tours were most lucrative because more people want to actually go and see the band, rather than buying their CD which most people download illegally so do not wish to spend money on buying a CD.

Task 2: -Collage, screen shots with annotations
Identify how last years students music video, Digipack and Websites have a consistent style and unified purpose:
-Themes
-Image
-Visual Style (colour, Fonts, Effects, Iconography)
-Mode of addresses to appeal to the target audience

As the audience I am able to see a clear theme running through all 3 productions as the narrative is something that the audience can easily relate to and this was relationship problems. The clothing relates to the indie/pop style in which they were aiming for their target audience as they used a lot of common conventions.

The digi pack and website both contains consistent use of autumn colours and gave a sense of a vintage look, the collage shows this clearly. There are a lot of dark mellow colours used in the music video to show negative emotions in the narrative  Also these colours were shown in the sky in the digi pack and the filming of the main artist is done with a soft effect and when the light shines on her to give a silhouette and create a sense of being hyper-real, for the target audience to look up to the artist. The font used is creative and abstract. The colours tend to come across slightly faded for the overall visual style.

Anamatic

We created an anamatic to help us to see what our video will look like before we go out and shoot it so we can change the shots if we do not think it looks right.
